Keeping our hands clean is one of the most important things we can do to prevent ourselves from getting sick and spreading germs to other in our community. By not washing our hands with soap and clean water we are at risk of getting infected with diseases and illnesses such as diarrhoea, cholera and COVID-19.
Here are the 5 Key Moments to wash your hands:
After using the toilet.
When caring for a baby, that is before breastfeeding them and after changing diapers.
Before, during and after handling and preparing food for ourselves and others.
Before and after caring for ourselves or someone who is sick at home sneezing, coughing, vomiting, injured or has diarrhoea.
After interacting with others in public and touching contaminated surfaces or things.
Remember to always wash your hands with SOAP and CLEAN WATER.
